The Fresh Start program is a 12-month, residential program designed for female, substance abusing offenders and their children. The program provides a safe, nurturing environment for women and children as they face recovery from addiction and learn new life skills that develop their self-sufficiency. Clients move through tiers addressing substance abuse treatment and recovery, employment readiness and work, and community reintegration and independent living. Fresh Start is part of The Community Renewal Team Inc., reentry program for female prisoners, and is located in Hartford, Connecticut.
CRT DOC Transitional Supervision Residence Program
CRT DOC Transitional Supervision Residence Program provides temporary housing and supportive services to men and women who are being released from prison and would be homeless without intervention. Services are provided in the community, and incorporate case management, vocational services, anger management, cognitive restructuring, employment retention, life skills education and clinical services. The program is for six months at which point clients graduate and move to other transitional or permanent housing. Located in Hartford, Connecticut.
